This shoe works great for recreational lifting, especially if you like more old school trainers that feel more minimalist. I've pushed them hard to assess where their stability starts to fall short.
Below are a few of the core and top lifting tests I've done in them.
- 495 lb deadlifts. Solid performance. The lower stack height, denser midsole, and wider toe box make this shoe great for tugs.
- 345 lb squats. If you loved squatting in shoes like the older Nike Metcons/Reebok Nanos, then you'll enjoy how these feel. They're grippy and dense.
- 225 lb reverse lunge. Flexibility is great.
The flex of the midsole is the star player with this shoe. It grips well and moves well with the feet.
