CARE
I always recommend spot-cleaning barefoot shoes and using a three-pronged approach to do it thoroughly.
I would suggest NOT putting your barefoot shoes in your washing and drying machines. Instead, follow the four steps below for properly cleaning cross-training shoes.
Step 1: Grab your barefoot shoes, a clean washcloth, a soft soap void of harsh dyes and fragrances, and lukewarm water.
Step 2: Get your washcloth wet with lukewarm water and dab less than a dime-sized amount of soap on the damp washcloth.
Step 3: Remove your barefoot shoe’s insoles and spot clean areas on the shoes that need a little attention. Do not soak your shoes. Repeat this process of dampening your washcloth and rubbing trouble areas until your shoes look noticeably cleaner. If you have bright colorways, rub softly to avoid ruining your shoe’s colorway.
Step 4: Once you’re satisfied with the appearance of your shoes, place them by a vent or dry area in your house and remove their insoles until thoroughly dried.

Features Worth Knowing
The core construction details that I think are worth knowing before you buy!
1. LATERAL SIDEWALLS
Grippy sidewalls promote additional security and bite when training and lifting. They're fantastic for sumo deadlifts and promoting walls to drive the feet into.
2. 1.3mm DEEP LUGS
The lugs do a great job of gripping all of the different surfaces you might train on. Outside of being great for powerlifting, they work surprisingly well on turf for cross-training, too.
3. WIDE SPACIOUS FIT
This shoe has a nice spacious toe box and upper volume to accommodate toe splay and a wide range of foot anatomies. These shoes typically work for feet up to a 3E forefoot width.
The mesh upper breathes well in most gyms and it's highly flexible. If you love articulation and upper materials that break in fast, you'll love the Radix.

Lifting Thresholds and My Assessment
This shoe can work well for recreational lifting. I've pushed them hard to assess where their stability starts to fall short.
Below are a few of the core and top lifting tests I've done in them.
495 lb deadlifts. These are built for powerlifting. Whether you're a conventional or sumo puller, you'll enjoy these.
345 lb squats. Great grip, ground feel, and width for gripping the floor and promoting toe splay while squatting.
205 lb reverse lunge. Overall really good. Great articulation and flexibility so these move well with the feet.
CrossFit and Cross-Training Assessment
Despite being optimized for powerlifting, these work surprisingly well for cross-training and versatile workouts. I credit a lot of this to their outsole traction and high degree of flexibility.
I've used these for workouts where I was doing jump rope, sled work, and box jumps, and they have yet to let me down. I also appreciate their bite on turf & prefer them over barefoot shoes with lower profile outsole treads for heavy sled pulls/pushes.
Running, Walking, and Comfort Assessment
For running, I haven't logged a ton of miles in these. If you wanted, you could use them for short runs without issues, though.
For walking and daily wear, I've really liked these. They're a good option for the lifter who wants a budget-friendly option that is dialed for strength work and powerlifting, but can also look casual and be comfortable for casual use.
